Wintersong 2012
Wintersong offers songwriters and songwriters to be, the opportunity to network, hone their craft and receive feedback from experienced professional songwriters. The topics addressed in this workshop will cover the art and craft of songwriting, the business aspects of songwriting and creative exercises. Participants will have an opportunity to receive feedback on their compositions. The workshop will be held at the Mountain Arts Community Center on Saturday, March 10, 2012.

Instructors include the award winning songwriter Louisa Branscomb whose credits include over 110 recorded songs including cuts by Alison Krauss, John Denver, Dale Ann Bradley, Jim Hurst, and others; Kathy Reed, a talented songwriter and witty lyricist who performs with the popular Atlanta band Lonesome Redwing; and Earl Brackin whose wide variety of musical experiences include arranging, writing commercial jingles, performing as a singer-songwriter, teaching music and recording.

The cost of the all day workshop is $95.00 per participant, $85.00 to members of SEBA, NSAI, and the Bluegrass Songwriters Association.

Wintersong Workshop will begin with a meet and greet session at 9:30 a.m. and finish up around 4:30 p.m. The two-hour evening performance will begin at 7:00 p.m. You may register on-line, purchase tickets on-line, and download Scholarship forms from this website, or by the U.S. mail.
